MYOB is the most popular small business accounting software package, but to work effectively it must be set up and operated correctly. Getting the right help and advice at the outset can save time, frustration and money, and ensure you extract the maximum from your software investment.

One of our principals, Jean Littman, is a commercial accountant with 30 year's experience running accounting departments and implementing computerised accounting systems for large and small businesses.
For the past 17 years, Jean has specialised in helping clients with the MYOB suite of products, and is an expert at "work-arounds" and maximising the output from MYOB accounting and POS software systems.
We can install your MYOB products & associated software, setup your MYOB data file properly and provide all the training & ongoing support for you and your staff. We always aim to help you take more effective control of your accounting function and become self -sufficient with MYOB and other accounting and business software.
If you are expanding and considering costly conversions of your accounting software, talk to us first. There are often add-on options available which integrate with your existing MYOB so that expensive conversions are not necessary. Many of these add-on software programmes have been specifically written for MYOB users, and there may be one that will be a perfect fit for your business.

Here are just a few things we can help you with:
Install the right MYOB product for your business. There are many MYOB accounting and POS products, as well as numerous add-on software packages that complement and extend MYOB. We work with you to help you choose the best mix of products for your business. Once the decision is made we install the software for you, whether you require a simple single-user system right through to multi-user network configurations.
Set-up a new data file. Your company file will be designed to provide the maximum management information within your business, as well as aligned with your external accountant's end of period requirements. NB: Trying to save on set-up costs is futile! Jean has spent much of the past 15 years repairing data files that have not been setup correctly. You will save yourself plenty of money if you get the set-up right from the beginning.
Payroll Set-up. Setup employee details, payroll categories, superannuation, holiday and sick accrual accounts to suit your particular business.
Inventory Set-up. Start from scratch or use your existing stock list. Most stock lists from other software or spreadsheets can be manipulated then imported into MYOB's inventory system ready for immediate use.
Customise Invoices and Statements. Customise your company invoices and statements with your logo, remittance advice and other important information.
Business Activity & Instalment Activity Statements. Monthly or quarterly GST data checked and verified and queries resolved. BAS reports printed and backed up.
MYOB Consulting and Training. One on one or group tutoring in your office, using your own software and data. Comprehensive training for staff who have not used MYOB, or sessions to fine tune skills and unfamiliar areas.
End of Year Reports. All transactions checked, necessary balance sheet and other reconciliations performed. Reports printed and MYOB data file sent to your accountant (we know how they like it!). Yearly file backups for accountant and archiving.
Yearly Rollover of MYOB Data File. Once your End of Year financial reports are received from your accountant, the necessary adjustments are entered into MYOB, the two sets of accounts matched, then your MYOB data file is reset into the current financial year. Once Jean has finished with your MYOB setup, installation and thorough training, most clients are self-sufficient. This often means you only require one or two annual visits each year to assist with end of year, and the yearly rollover.
